Fast forward a few heartbeats of the universe (I am intentionally being vague about the timeframe).. and while many doors were closed, I have to thank DJ C (Jake Trusell) and Strategy (Paul Dickow) for the parts they each played in dropping the wax versions.
The response to these versions
also makes me feel like a million dollars... thoughts of money aside :o) the songs ended up getting released individually... but at least they're out there... distribution holdups notwithstanding...
Now maybe this is too much "pulling back of the curtains" for people, but hell, I'm just talking to you.
Much love to the people out there who have been buying / trading these. I saw you on E-Bay France,... (15-20 Euro for the Darling test pressing?lol).. get ya money.I ain't mad at ya.
At ANY rate.
It's geting easier to reach out, even in genres which don't seem to be altogether enthralled with vocalists.
So "Darling" is out there now, along with "Animal Attraction" and "BodyWork" on Strategy's Community Library imprint...
Also check "Ransom The Senator" on D$R Records out of Bristol, (Thanks to them also).
Large up all massive and crew already spinning / dancing to this one. It was released in January as a Mashit.com digital exclusive. There is a remix by GhettoTech powerhouse Ghislain Poirier, which is a certified dancefloor Killah, truss.
If you want to cop the vinyl it is being carried at these outlets:
United Kingdom: Boomkat Records / Juno Records
Germany:
Hardwax Records

Distributed by: Baked Goods UK
